"Say not ye, 'There are four months and then cometh the harvest?'

Dear Believers,
     We have found this verse to be so very true in the park ministry this past month.  Our prayers are being answered in a wonderful way as we pray for open hearts ready to hear the gospel.  The Lord has brought harvest fruit ready to be picked.  
      Earlier in the month, one of the teenagers had been burdened in her heart for a young lady that she gave a tract to earlier in the evening.  God kept pressing on her heart to go back to her and speak to her again.  As she obeyed the Holy Spirit's prompting, she had the opportunity to explain the gospel fully to her, and she prayed to receive Jesus as her Savior.  Her name is Lisa, she has a 5 month old boy, and they both recently came down with pneumonia.  Please pray that there would be opportunity to disciple her, and that God would provide healing and a place for her to live. 
     More recently, as the teens canvassed the areas adjacent to the park, they came across a child who fell off her bicycle.  God used this incident to open doors for a group of children and preteens to follow them to the park to hear the Bible taught.  A response from one was, "Why haven't we heard this before?"  After sitting and listening to two different presentations of the gospel, an invitation was given and 5-7 children indicated that they wanted to pray to receive Jesus Christ as their Savior.  Each one went off with one of our group and almost all prayed to receive Christ.  Several of these children were from Boston, and were just here for the evening to visit relatives (see photo below).  God's ways are marvelous and He is so worthy of praise!  
     Many answers to prayer were seen as we had Summer Bible Club.  As you know, we were without an official location until the week before our club.  God provided the Hillside Middle School and the soccer field for our use.  We thank Him for His direction and provision.  This is the first year we have had access to a building and restrooms, and with all the rain we had during the week, the Bible club was still able to continue because we could meet indoors! God's ways are much higher than ours! This short notice hindered many planning efforts as well as literature distribution to promote the Bible club, but some children from the park ministry attended and many church folks brought their unsaved neighbors.  Many seeds were planted, and one family has already visited church.  Thank you so much for your prayers!
     Many international students have returned home, and the main students that kept this ministry going have graduated or moved on.  Please pray for the Lord to open doors with new people if it is His direction for this college ministry to continue.  Linda, the Chinese young lady who was saved in June, is attending a ladies Bible study weekly at school in California and is doing well.    
     The Hipke family's home is almost completed.  They are the family that had the house fire.  The insurance company committed to pay rent for the house they are currently living in only until September 1st.  Although the work is almost complete, it looks like they will need a few more weeks than the insurance will allow, so we are looking to the Lord to make provision for them for a place to live or whatever the Lord's direction may be.  Please pray that God would reveal His wonderful plan to them soon.
     Thank you for your interest, prayers, and support for the Lord's work here, He has done exceedingly abundantly above all that we have asked, and we give Him all the praise for it!
