Prayer Update
May 2008

"Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the Word of the Lord

may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you."

(2 Thessalonians 3:1)

Dear Believers,
We thank the Lord for His work among us this month. As you know we have been working toward goals to progress toward independence this year, and one of those goals God has enabled to come to pass. Leadership training classes were being taught for a good many months, leading up to Sunday, May 18, when our first elders were appointed. This was our first step in developing church government. Keith Berkheiser came up from EICM in Pennsylvania, and joined in this special service, and then we had a fellowship dinner afterwards. We covet your prayers, since Satan is never happy with church planting progress. Our next step will be developing a constitution.
We would like to let you know of a schedule change in our services. We will be changing our prayer meeting from Thursday evenings to Wednesday evenings beginning the first week of June. Because the Nackey Loeb School has sessions of classes on Wednesday evenings a few times a year, we will be changing back and forth to accommodate that schedule.
We thank the Lord for answer to prayer concerning the Hipke's, who had a fire in their home. The work has begun on rebuilding! There was quite a lot of work to get to this point, and we are encouraged at the Lord's faithfulness. Their old neighbor Barbara Heckle continues to come over for Bible study, and will be finishing up the lessons soon. Please pray for her salvation, that she would understand fully what it means to be saved.
We would like to ask for prayer for the Peront family as Jennifer Peront's mom's cancer is progressing. She is feeling well and we are thankful she is trusting the Lord, but this type of illness can be a challenging time for the whole family. Kyle and Lauren Mueller are in Spain, helping missionaries there. Please pray for them as they serve the Lord with various opportunities including helping to build a camp. Several international students have been reconnecting with us, which is a blessing and answer to prayer. We are thankful for the work that the Lord is doing in their hearts, and that they are drawn by Him to be with believers and learn the Word of God.
Thank you for your continued faithfulness in bringing us before the throne of the Lord Jesus Christ. It is only what He accomplishes that will last.
                                                             In the love of Christ,
